I remenber 9-11 very breifly. It happened so fast. I remenber being in a class in middle school when all this happened. The PA turned on and the principle says in a ddep grim voice “I’m sorry for the intturuption, but today American has been attacked by terrorists.” He then tells the classes that all the coverage was on TV. I remenber my teacher walking from across the room to grab to remote. I didn’t think to much of it I thought it was one of those domestic disturbances. She turns it on and the first the I saw was two towers on fire. Everyone didn’t know what to expect when seeing that for the first time so we all looked at the TV in disbelief. Shortly after a tower falls and everyone starts screaming, and yelling. As it crumbles I can hear someone from another class crying. One of the student’s uncle had worked at the world trade center in New York. Later she heard that he had not gone to work that day and he was okay. As I kept watching I saw people just falling out of the building, freefalling to the ground. It hurt me to watch that; some guy just jumps out the window out of desperation. The 2nd building collapses and another cry of tragedy can be heard through out the school. after it was all over, the world recognized our peril and now after 8 years I am still reminded of that day. 8 years later we still comemorate those who were lost on that day.
